Rodeo Redux

Okay, I promise this will be the last of the rodeo pictures, well...maybe one more for Sunday! The good news is that ya'll haven't seen any of these pictures yet. :) If you missed the prior posts with great, full color action shots of the La Fiesta De Los Vaqueros Rodeo you can see them here and here.

I wanted to play around with some photo editing on a couple of the pictures to give them a vintage feel. I added the sepia tone while the pictures were still in the camera, there is an option on my camera for black & white or sepia. I used the vintage effects option on Pixlr for the overlays and frames, what a cool, cool site and it's totally FREE! I used a different overlay and frame from Pixlr on each picture.

I'm linking up with Nancy at A Rural Journal for the Rural Thursday Blog Hop today because, in my book, you don't get much more rural than rodeo! Yee-Haw!!

The editing you did makes them look like they could be from the "wild west"! Very nice!

Love your photos of the rodeo. Even though I'm a city girl, I grew up going to rodeos. Your photos brought back many great memories.

I have enjoyed your Rodeo pictures. It would be nice to have a set of cards, blank inside with these sepia B&Ws. Like the 2cd frame the best.

I love the vintage tone. This is a dangerous sport. Beautiful pictures. Have a nice week. Greetings from Romania.

The pictures realy look vintage. They would look great in a frame I made years ago. You take a cheap wooden frame. Glue a thin rope around the frame .Let the two ends cross at a corner. Then nail a metal star over where the two piece cross. I let the rope ends hang down a little bit. You can glue any thing you want on it.Or just use only the rope.

Love all your rodeo shots! One of my very favorite things about summer!!

Your rodeo shots are amazing!
I used to photograph my sister-in-law when she ran barrels and poles.
These actions shots are hard to get.
Even though I may want to used Black and White or Sepia for a photo,
I've never had the willpower to do this in-camera.
You've picked some great frames and overlays from Pixlr.
Definitely added to the vintage feel of these photos.
