After we took Jerry's mom home on Sunday, we took the scenic route back so I could take some pictures. I have admired this old bunkhouse beside the road for about 25 years so we stopped so I could get some photos for my blog. After I downloaded this picture to the computer and was playing around with editing, I noticed something next to the water tank on the right! Who could it be?!?
Old wiley coyote himself!! I looked at all the other pictures and this was the only one he was in, pretty cool, huh?!?
I love the door and the big metal latch and the way the bark is worn off the top of the posts.
There was one of these signs on each side of the gate leading into the pasture.
Pretty nice setting if you ask me!! Linking up with Lisa at Two Bears Farm and Nancy at A Rural Journal for Rural Thursday. Hop on over and check out all the rural happenings! :)
Oh, you make me miss the Southwest! Great pics :-) Love the sneaky coyote.
ReplyDeletei love that old bunkhouse and the doors...and how cool to capture the coyote! is this on someone's property or just open land?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I've only seen things like this in the movies, being all northern and pine treeish and snowish up here...but I sure appreciate that I know people who can see stuff like this everyday!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like something right out of the wild west! :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you wanted to take pictures.
ReplyDeleteWonder what stories it has to tell. :)
Don't you wonder "if walls could talk?" I bet there are some good ole cowboy stories to be told.

ReplyDeleteThose coyote are slick-- and they blend in so well with the grass. You never know; he might be hiding in one of the other photos, taking pictures of the strange 3 eyed woman! lol!
I like going off the beaten path and searching for treasures...
