There is so much neat old fencing in the cow pasture where we walk. It is left over from when this whole area was part of a working ranch. Do you think this tree was still alive when it was incorporated into this fence? :)
Linking up with Jan and Jer for Friday's Fences.
Oh, by the way, the mesquite trees have all leafed out so we shouldn't have any more freezes!
Interesting choice of fencing out there. Natural resources.
ReplyDeletewhat a great photo!
ReplyDeleteI doubt that the tree was alive...if it had been, it would have started to grow around the wire.
ReplyDeleteIt's always so sad to see trees tangled with wire through them. I have several that have completely grown around the wire.
ReplyDeleteThose fence posts are a little smaller than what we use here. Nice picture.
ReplyDeleteI agree, very interesting fence find!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wondeful weekend, Candy.
I don't know if it was or not, but it makes for a great photo. :o)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
It's sad, really, that people put all that hard work into the fencing, and the farming, and now it is all turning to rust.
ReplyDeleteBut we can still enjoy the beauty of their work, while admitting the world has changed...
Interesting looking fence!
ReplyDeleteA great fence. Use what you have.
ReplyDeleteIt is a neat looking fence. We have several large trees with wire growing through them, as well, so I tend to think the tree was dead when the fence was made.
ReplyDeleteIt does make you wonder! Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteLove those gnarly posts!
