Stupid rooster. We got rid of ours. He just kept getting more and more nasty to the kiddos. They couldn't even go outside w/o him charging at them for no reason. And I was sick of the crowing;) But they sure are pretty!
They can be nasty tempered, ca't they? My SIL's rooster cut her hand pretty badly with his spur...she required several stitches! Great shot for WW - thanks for linking up!
Great picture! When I was a little girl, a neighbor had roosters, and one cornered me between her screen door and wooden door. Who knows how long I cowered there til someone came to my aid!? Thanks for visiting and commenting today! :)
Mine didn't like me much either until I decided to be the only one that gives them treats. Now they all run to the fence when I start walking down the hill. Handsome rooster!

Beautiful colors - he only looks mildly dangerous...
ReplyDeleteOur rooster now doesn't mess w/ me, but our previous one was really rotten. Which is why he ended up on the grill.
ReplyDeleteHe's a handsome bird.
ReplyDeleteIn spite of this behaviour problems - he makes a great subject for a photo. I like the sepia finish - it emphasises all those interesting textures
