We visited some friends in Willcox recently. They live on an old ranch property with a nice old wooden barn. The barn itself is pretty cool but I really like this old door and it's hinges.
Check out all the different types of fasteners holding on this hinge! I would say it's been repaired once or twice, wouldn't you? ;)

ReplyDeleteThe wood on the barn is so cool. I love the shape of the worn hole next to the door.
ReplyDeletePretty cool photo! I like old barns but hate to see them fall into disrepair. It must be very costly to keep up.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the photo of the hinge I had to smile, because when we were in San Antonio last January we went to the Missions there and my husband and I both walked around taking photos of the hinges. I need to post those photos :)
ReplyDeleteThey do have a way of working themselves loose. Don't know why. These are great captures to shot the character of this old barn.
ReplyDeleteI love the old barn wood. I am always looking for some around here, I use it for many different projects. Great photo.
ReplyDeleteOld has always been one of my favorites!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteHa ha, our barns look like that.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what caused that notch out near that door?
ReplyDeleteIs that what they call 'cribbing'?
The effect of an animal...chewing the wood?
It looks so cool.
