InSPIREd Sunday - 05/12/2013

I finally remembered to take my camera with me yesterday so that I could share one of the neat older churches in Bisbee with InSPIREd Sunday hosted by Sally and Beth. This is the Community Church in Bisbee, AZ and I really like the detail of the brickwork on the left. We can hear the bell at the Farmer's Market a block or so away as it marks the hours.

  2. That is really pretty. I wonder why they didn't do the whole church that way.

  5. What a lovely church! I love the brickwork, too, and also the work around the doorway.

Is this the same Bisbee mentioned in some of J.A. Jance's books?

  18. The brickwork is outstanding, yet it seems at odds with the southwestern style. I've never seen anything like it. I like it!

Thanks for sharing it in InSPIREd Sunday!

  19. Glad we're getting to see some church architecture from different parts of the country. Your selection is so different from my parts in the details from the window to the bell tower--maybe some Spanish influence? Like everyone else, intrigued by the brick gridwork--very ornamental.

  20. Candy, I like that detailing too. You have inspired me to plan a project taking pictures of churches - or maybe close ups of architectural details. Would make a nice photo book. Cheers
