We had a few days of pretty cool weather with lots and lots of stinkin' wind but, today, it is just lovely again and the bees were happily buzzing about in the Prunus cerasifera 'Krauter Vesuvius', also called a Cherry Plum tree. What a lovely ornamental tree, it starts with these beautiful pink flowers followed by dark red leaves. Two years ago, when we had so much winter rain, it even produced a bumper crop of little plums! They are mostly pit so I left them for the birds. :) I really like the way the afternoon sun is filtering through.

ReplyDeletegorgeous blooms! it's chilly here today, only in the 40's but the sun is out...supposed to get rain and snow overnight....i don't know if any will stick though and it's not supposed to amount to much...possible that the kids might get a snow day out of it though!

ReplyDeleteOh, wow, those are so pretty. I went on a flower hunt this afternoon to see if I could find any early spring flowers such as snow drops or johny jump ups. No such luck, so I ended up with photos of moss instead. I'm so ready for spring flowers!
