Mosaic Monday - 5/28/2012

We took a drive over to the Sulpher Springs Valley Saturday in search of ghost towns. :) We found Courtland and Gleeson, there are still people living at Gleeson. We stopped at the cemetery in Gleeson so that I could take some pictures. Some of the graves were really old and some were very recent. This cemetery is very much in the style of the old west. I will be sharing pictures of the ruins at Courtland soon.

Linking up with Mosaic Monday.

very interesting photos, especially the one that is covered in rocks, hmmmm, stage coach robber? gunfighter? stranger bucked off his horse riding thru the desert? Like the way you lined up the fence with the tombstone in the background.

I would love to walk through here. The fences are cool also. I like to see photos of desert land.

Oh,my! Wouldn't you just LOVE to have some fence like that? They don't make 'em like that anymore. What fun! Ghost towns! Did you see any ghosts? :)

Love the tombstone of Yee Wee... I guess I should be more respectful, but... :)

The old fences and gates are gorgeous. Can't wait to see more.

Nancy,
I loved it too! All the lucky horseshoes and coins left there and the fact that nobody messes with it! :)

This is the first one of your posts I've been able to see in nearly two weeks except for a shot or two! :-( LOVE this cemetery! Wow, this collage is wonderful! It looks like a poster someone should hang on their wall! The old western cemeteries are always so interesting and rustic. Love those iron fences!

Hope you had a great weekend. Glad I helped out about the hose information. Yes, I plan to grow beans too...trying to get that spot ready this week so I can get them in the ground. I harvested my first cucumber a few days ago!!!! :-)
