I thought I would join in on the fun of 5 Facts Friday this week, mainly because I can't think of anything to post about!! ;)
1. At age 54, I'm still a sucker for a cute, stuffed Teddy Bear and have more than I want to admit to.
2. I can't decide whether or not to plant a garden this year. Being at the Farmer's Market every week selling baked goods, I can buy, or barter for, whatever I want.
3. Some days, I spend waaayyy too much time on the computer in BlogLand.
4. One of my favorite TV shows happens to be Swamp People (don't judge me). The new season premiered last night. :)
5. I'm really glad the 2012 DA14 asteroid didn't hit us today! LOL!!
your #5 made me laugh, but wow, that was freaky!
ReplyDelete#3 is SOOOO me... i don't have a life.
#2 - i'd grow a garden just to have something to barter to get your breads! :)
Number 5 was totally crazy...I think a lot of us are guilty of #3, me included.
ReplyDeleteOh #5 was scary:)
ReplyDeleteI did not plant a garden this year I may do it this year no pressure I like that.
Never heard of swamp people sounds interesting.
Have a nice long weekend snuggled with your teddies on the computer. :) B
Swamp people, LOL! I'll admit to watching the ones that catch the wild hogs. I actually thought it might be interesting to try hunting boar, dangerous too. Normally I'm a chicken but this intrigues me, plus it keeps those things from tearing up the land and hurting people.
ReplyDeleteWe love Swamp People too. It starts here on Wednesday :)
ReplyDeleteI love stuffies too, but don't own many. I guess that's why Ella's bed is half covered in stuffies.
Personally, I wouldn't do a garden. If you are happy with the selection at market why stress?
I LOVE Swamp People!!! RJ and Jay Paul are my faves (not bad to look at either hehe)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, the States were fortunate...that thing was unreal! But it's nice to get to know you better...:)JP
ReplyDeleteAt 56 I still have a favorite teddy bear. My dog sometimes wants to steal it from its special shelf.
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky you can barter your delicious products for veggies. Seems perfect.
Swamp People is interesting.....
I wish there was a 2 week special on "People of the Mud" about the unbelievable Vermont Mud Season....
Come by and visit my Vermont herd and flock when you have a chance: www.tailgait.blogspot.com
re: your list
ReplyDelete#1 I am a lot older so have had more time to collect teddy bears, stuffed sheep, a goat, dogs, cat, and a rabbi or two, must get those out Easter is coming.
#2 Brocolli already planted, arugula coming up volunteer, from last year, herbs, chard and strawberries. Keep looking at weeds in the garden may skip that patch, planters are easier.
#3 Ditto
#4 Survivor, NCIS and reruns of Gunsmoke
#5 me too.
Those are indeed fun facts and we won't judge you over swamp people...LOL
ReplyDeleteNever heard of Swamp People.
ReplyDeleteGo with your gut when it comes to the garden. I got burnt out a few years ago, and was happy my garden was a total flop due to the weather, not my lack of interest. The next year I was ready to plant! Sometimes you just need a break.
Can you really have too many teddy bears? I know what you mean about gardens. I love them, but they are a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteEveryday I spend way too much time in BlogLand! haha.
ReplyDeleteNo garden?? (gasp) Not really - sounds like you are thinking things through. You would be easy to please on gifted holidays with all the stuffed bears out there. My weakness is troll dolls.
ReplyDeleteI can't be certain, but my favorite theory is: when you are online, time alters, changes (sort of like Alice in Wonderland or Twilight Zone lol). All seems peachy fine and not at all as tho hours have passed ~ until you spy a clock and wonder how the h*ll you're going to get everything done!
ReplyDeleteHence, it's not our fault that parts of entire days (sometimes) slip by as we browse :-)
Planting and weeding and watering and bug flicking and critter shooing vs bartering?????????
Nuff said, lol
The only bad in number five is I REALLY have to stop reading here NOw and go tend to the laundry! Now, had 5 turned out differently, well, I'd probably have gone out while happily blog reading (there'd be no wash to worry about) :-)
Issy (fellow watcher of swamp peeps, ax men, deadliest catch, goldrush watcher) *see me hang my head in semi-shame roflmao
We all have our guilty pleasures -- I have quite a few of my own, so no judging here! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your Friday Facts post. Hubby and I are hooked on watching McLeod's Daughters.
ReplyDeletei want to plant a garden this year...should get planning now shouldn't i?! i'm happy about #5 too :)
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through the Valentine Boost My Blog Party. I live in Apache Junction but own property down by Sunsites. I love it in Southeastern Arizona or pretty much any where in Arizona.
ReplyDeleteOy. There was an asteroid? I spend FAR too much time in the barn. Obviously I need to get out more.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I don't know how I missed it before...it made me laugh. I'm with you, glad the asteroid didn't hit us! And don't worry about loving Swamp people...I got on a kick back when My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding was on. It was like a train wreck...I couldn't stop watching it! :-) Now, they've moved on to Gypsy Sisters, but I'm not interested. I got my fill. :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, you have to at least grow heirloom tomatoes! :)
