I Pimped My Mixer!

So, I was watching the Food Network the other day (surprise, surprise!) and I was noticing all the specially painted/decorated mixers that these celebrity chefs have, like Ree Drummond, Alton Brown, Guy Fieri, etc. I was wishing I had one when I thought to myself, "Self, why don't you just add some stickers to your perfectly good, 20-year-old KitchenAid mixer to dress it up? That would make more sense than buying a new one!"

I have never claimed to be on the cutting edge of style or trends. After I got home from Wal-Mart, where I bought these cute, vinyl sunflower stickers, I looked online and found some really nice pimped out mixers and some cool tutorials, especially this one where the girl painted her mixer first. So, even though I'm behind the times, I thought I would show ya'll how cute my Farmgirl Mixer turned out and all it took was a $1 package of stickers! :)

Looks great! I've seen floral patterned mixers on Ree's blog, but never thought of decorating my own. :)

I've got to do that to mine. Mine is over 20 years old too and needs a face-lift.

Isn't Ree's orange flower one gorgeous!! Ella really loves the sunflowers. My Kitchenaid has a bunny that sits on it and keeps the dust out.

I love what you've done....I happened to be watching Ree Drummond the other day, too. I knew about hers from her blog of a couple of years ago. Your choice is fabulous...it's not overdone, either.

And you can change it any time you want to mix up the decor! Great idea.

That is brilliant! We have a white stand mixer at the farm and I'm thinking cherries! (since the kitchen is/will be red and white). And Kathy beat me to it, you could so easily peel them off when you want a new look! Thanks for sharing!

I have noticed Ree's mixer, and wondered about it. I like your cute idea. If I had a stand mixer...I would do it too. Thanks for the comments that you leave me on my blog.

Clever idea. I put my mixer away because I found that my old hand mixer just seemed to work better for me. I need to get a new one of those too but the power in the newer models just doesn't seem to be as good. Perhaps I need to upgrade to a better model by spending a little more cash.
