Barn Charm

You can just barely see this old barn from the main road because of the trees and brush so we took a side road hoping to get a better view. I couldn't get any closer because of fences and closed gates. :)

Here is a wider view showing a big old cottonwood tree next to it. We don't have many wooden barns in this part of the country or two-story ones either. I'm not sure how charming it is but I'm linking up with Tricia at Bluff Area Daily for Barn Charm.

All of our barns are still the original wood from about the 1950's. They are falling apart too, ha ha ha!

Candy I love that barn. It is beautiful to me. I have been accumulating old barn pics to do a post. They will soon be gone from our area. The barns on our farm have all been torn down...I sure would love to have one and I know you enjoy yours...

There is something fascinating about old barns. I love seeing that big Cottonwood tree too, we don't have them around here!

LindaG,
This one is pretty unusual for our area!

Kristina,
I saw one of your barns in the background of one of your photos the other day, very nice looking!

Dolly,
It is sad when all the old structures get torn down. :(

Old barns are so majestic. They have an irresistable simplicity.

Tanya,
Thanks!

Brittany,
I agree and it doesn't matter if they are freshly painted or in need of some TLC! :)

I love barns - old, new, wood or otherwise. There's just something - I don't know, stirring? - about them. Very nice pix!

I love barns. Old one, new ones, it doesn't matter to me. They are quite a few in my neighborhood. I love seeing them when I am walking the dogs.

That is a really neat old barn--and I think your photos turned out quite nicely even you weren't able to get as close as you would have liked.

I love old barns, new barns, it doesn't matter to me. But I think old barns are the most charming.
