Spring Has Sprung!

At least according to my Santa Rosa plum tree and the bees! :)

We are expecting temps in the mid 80s by the end of the week but there is still a chance of getting a freeze here through the end of April. Jerry went to the thrift store the other day and bought several old sheets that we can use to cover the fruit trees if a freeze is forecast. We haven't had any fruit the past two years because of late freezes and I really would like to get some this year, especially the plums and peaches! YUM!!

Linking up with Tuesday Muse and Texture Tuesday.

Edited with Nancy's Asian Influence texture @ Overlay 50%, Kim's kk_1612 texture @ Soft Light 50% and kk_1612 duplicate @ Multiply 50%. Border added in Pixlr.

What a beautiful shot! It seemed like spring had sprung here over the weekend with temps in 60s ... but tomorrow flurries again.

Oh, I hope Jack Frost skips your fruit trees this year! The Santa Rosa plums sound wonderful, and the blossoms are beautiful, Candy.

Gorgeous! So jealous! We had a taste of spring here with temps in the 50's but it is sliding backward now. :/ On the bright side I did see my first flock of robins! Gorgeous photo. :)

BEES! Yay! I'm kind of obsessed with bees lately, haha. Still waiting to get ours for our hive.

I love your photo edit. So cool! Such a perfect shot with the bee on the pretty bloom :)

Looks good! We got about 0 nectarines and apples, after a BAD frost hit the trees, dang it. I'm hoping for a better harvest this year...

Lucky you on those beautiful plum tree blossoms. I am waiting for our Bradford Pears to pop but I think it will be a bit. Pretty photo!

I really do hope you are successful in getting fresh fruit from your trees this year. That sounds yummy! Our spring has been a bit elusive here is Missouri. Hopefully in a few weeks, it will decide that winter is over.

Visiting from Texture Tuesday.
