MaryJane's Harvest Apron

The pattern for this apron is found in MaryJane's "Ideabook, Cookbook, Lifebook." The entire front panel is a pocket which, as MaryJane says, is "handy for the ripe tomato that needs plucking, the unexpected zucchini, eggs that need gathering and apples begging to become a pie." The green one with the bees is mine and the brown one with the chickens is for a friend! :)

Love the apron and what a neat idea with the x-large pocket. Enjoy reading Mary Jane too.

Super cute!! Love the fabrics you chose. Are you going to sell those at the farmers market too?

Cute, I used to have a full length (to the knees) "harvest" apron, from canvas, wore it to death when I had an apple tree. Maybe I'll make a new one! Much cuter than my old one...

Amy,

I thought about it but our Market is so small that things like that don't usually sell very well. There was a lady selling aprons for a reasonable price recently but I don't think she sold any!!

Oh, I love it! I especially love the bee apron! My daughter (age 2) loves bees, she loves saying "busy bee" :) I need to make one for myself and a matching one for her because she is at the stage of wanting to be just like mommy :) Thanks for sharing the pictures, both aprons are beautiful!

Sunflowers,

I think mommy and daughter matching aprons is a wonderful idea! I actually found the bee material at Wal-Mart last year, you might check around.
