Thanksgiving Apron

Susan at e-i-e-i-omg challenged us to an Apron Sew Off awhile back and, well (deep breath), today is the day we are all supposed to unveil our new aprons! I can't wait to see what everyone has come up with!! This has been so much fun, thanks Susan! I have enjoyed reading about everyone's progress and challenges!

This is my second apron using this pattern called Flirty Skirty, the ties are extra long to tie in front which makes it easier to put on (for me anyway!). I made the first one to wear at the Farmer's Market and I will probably wear this one there too, after Thanksgiving of course! Well, here it is. The apron looks good but, jeez, I can't believe how OLD I look! Wait, maybe that's because I'm on the far side of 50?!? ;-)

This was so much fun, what in the world shall we do next!! LOL!!

I also like aprons that can wrap around and tie in front....much easier for those of us with a little "extra" around the middle to make that tie!

Great Job! :)

BTW, Don't you DARE give Susan any more ideas for any more crazy Sew-offs!!

I am having problems finishing an apron ......... duct tape keeps sticking to my fingers.

Congrats to all of you that made your aprons.

Candy, I like your apron! I enjoy wearing them also, when I remember. I have a really bad habit of wiping my hands across my chest. I tend to be a messy cook/baker also. Maybe b/c I have 3 things going on all at once. By the end of the day I can barely remember what my shirt looked like when I started.

Candy, I love the apron too. The floral matched with the black and white stripes and rick rack looks so pretty, like it came out of a Waverly catalog. Have a Happy Thanksgiving,

Love the pattern of your apron. I agree with everyone else who said the ties in front make so much sense. Cute, cute, cute!

That is super cute! I don't even own an apron! I should though, since I'm always splashing on myself when I cook!

Every Farmgirl should have at least one apron! :)
