1. My roses are blooming like crazy! I didn't get around to pruning them over the winter and they seem pretty happy about that fact.
2. The big storm that brought or is bringing big rain to a lot of you just brought us big winds earlier this week.
3. I made a new rule, Candy doesn't have to cook supper on Thursday. I do a good job of making meals from scratch the rest of the week but Thursday is kind of like my Friday and I'm tired of being in the kitchen every day by then. I don't care if we go out, eat sandwiches or have leftovers...I'm just not cooking! ;)
4. The new season of Longmire starts May 27th on A&E! Woo-hoo!
5. I have started taking my shower at night, there were days when I would still be in my jammies at noon because I would get busy with my baking. Now, I can just get dressed when I get up. When I was young, we always took a bath at night. How about you, do you prefer a bath or a shower, at night or in the morning?
Linking up with Nancy for Random 5 Friday.

love your #3. stand firm, girlie! :)
No more cooking Thursdays we should start a movement I would go for that too.
I rotate from mornings to night on the shower thing depending how dirty my day on the farm was:)
Your roses are gorgeous. B
I can't start my day without a shower. Just.can't.do.it. Plus - you wouldn't even WANT to see what my hair looks like by noon if it's not washed in the morning.
I like your rule, I have the same one, but it's pretty much any night I randomly choose not to cook.
Glad to hear your roses are blooming. Nice photo too!
Your roses are fabulous! :)
i will have to look into Longmire - i don't have cable. but i am curious. ( :
those roses remind me of my Grandma Mary's rose garden. awesome colors.
as a kid i took baths. now i usually take showers - they are quicker if i need to get some where asap. if i have time a bath. but never bubbles. (they cause bladder infections, even when i was a kid too. darn to that.)
we had pizza tonight. yum.
we had a terrible wind & thunderstorm tonight. it was wild. there were warnings of all sorts. lucky here we were ok. not sure about every where else though.
Hi Candy, The roses are very nice. The deer here are eating everything...again. About the shower time...I have showered at night since graduating college. I got pretty dirty on the job and needed to cleanup after work. Now, my night time going to bed includes a nice long shower. I have a difficult time falling to sleep if I don't.
I will have to go look to see where you live, because the roses here in my garden in Virginia are just now showing good-sized buds.
I shower at night now, too. It's a great way to wind down and feel all clean and fresh before bedtime ... washes off all the pollen and stuff, too, and my seasonal allergies aren't as bad since I started doing this.
I really enjoyed your list.
Love the roses. We took baths at night as kids. I take showers in the morning now.
Pretty! And I LOVE Longmire, great show!!!
Shower at night. I get up about 3:45 AM since I travel about an hour to work and my hair is longer. I couldn't manage showering in the AM and then drying and styling my hair- PLUS having some blog reading time !
Fun things to know. I like to take my bath at night. I don't always do that but I'm glad when I do the next morning.
Everyone deserves a night off if they want one.
Lovely Roses! Have a wonderful week :)
I love a relaxing super hot bubble bath ~ but since moving to the farm we have only had a shower stall. Keep saying we are going to renovate this old bathroom soon,
I'm with you girlie -- I have one night a week where we eat frozen pizza (which I dress up a bit with extra toppings.) Otherwise, I cook dinner every night.
Beautiful roses! Need to see more of them please. :)
Love your roses! We are nowhere near rose season yet.
1. You grew those beautiful roses? They are gorgeous! Just what I needed this snowy cold morn.
3. I make breakfast (most days) and a big dinner. Supper is "on your own" most of the time. We eat light at night, sandwiches, salads, eggs, cereal, etc.
5. We took baths growing up too. I didn't start showering regularly until I went to college.
Happy Weekend, My Friend!
The roses are gorgeous! Love the delicate color.
I love Longmire! I'll have to make a note on that date. My husband enjoys it too. Have you read any of the books? They're good, too.
I take a shower in the morning, and sometimes at night, too, especially in the summertime.
When I was a SAHM, I would clean house on Thursday so the house and laundry was done for the weekend--that was my night for going out for dinner. I just wanted it to stay clean for more than an hour. I totally get your no-cooking night. I think it's realistic.
If the momma ain't happy.....
I always shower in the morning, but sometimes also in the late afternoon. Just depends on the goings on that day. Today I spent time on the lawn with our pups and they knocked me down while playing and I ended up in fresh mown grass so had to get the itchy stuff off with second shower of the day.
I have to do the night shower. Otherwise, there are many nights I wouldn't be able to stand sleeping with myself after chores. :-)
Your roses are beautiful! I'm still buying flowers for any kind of spring cheerfulness.
Um love the roses!!! my husband bought me some rose bushes for my very first mothers day...years ago, and my dog ate them. gahhhhh
No cooking on Thursday! I totally understand about getting tired of cooing. I try not to do any cooking on Sunday. Get it done Sat, sometimes!
Gorgeous roses. Ours are about a month away from blooming yet.
Well I like a shower in the morning but sometimes at night I take a bath just to relax and if it's cold to warm up!
Such beautiful roses! I have never had any luck growing them. I love your Thursday night idea. We tend to do that on Fridays. Wish we would have watched that show last season. The previews for this season look fantastic!
Liz
Oh definitely at night, but at this point in my life, on weekends. I have so much to do, I don't want to waste my morning in the shower. : )
Beautiful flowers!!
Candy, lovely pic of the roses. It's a funny thing but our roses are blooming too here and it's autumn in NZ. Cheers
