Sunday Photo - Antique Spurs

These old spurs are part of our decor, they sit on the end table in the living room. They were made by August Buermann, probably in the late 1800s. Here's an edited version for that old timey feel! :) I used pixlr-o-matic's Vignette and Sand.

Linking up with Jan at Murrieta 365 for Straight Out Of the Camera Sunday, Nancy at A Rural Journal for Your Sunday Best and Madge at The view from right here for Weekly Top Shot.

What a great collector’s item. They look like they could really do some damage. Like the two shots, but the firs is my favorite. Nice work. genie

Candy

I found Grandpa's spurs and cleaned them up for Mom. They sit on the corner of his baptismal picture on her kitchen wall.

Grandpa had a trick horse and they went around and performed at Rodeos ... back in the day.

Nice find...especially when you can get them cheap!! Love your edited version...well done!

We have three Buermann brothers living up here in Harney County...wonder if they're related?

Marie,
Being so close, we should! :)

gtyyup,
It's not a very common name so I wouldn't be surprised!
