InSPIREd Sunday - 05/26/2013

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Tombstone, Arizona.

We drive through Tombstone on our way to and from the Farmer's Market in Bisbee every Saturday. I enjoy seeing and photographing old buildings and Tombstone and Bisbee are full of them. :)

Very interested to see a western interpretation of Episcopal Church architecture. I've been photographing all the Episcopal churhes in Louisville and most are grey stone more like the English Anglican church, the mother of EC. But most all have the red doors. Like TWG, I appreciate the terra cotta red of this one--so appropriate for this western example. Oh, and the simple cross on your church is much like all that I've photographed.

Very nice -- I wonder if Wyatt Earp ever attended there? :)

I love that big archway front door. The red door also works well with the rest of the design as well.

I learned from this meme that Episcopal churches have red doors. Isn't that interesting? This one does. I like it's subdued red color. It's a very pretty little church! Still haven't gotten to Bisbee. Think Yvonne and I will try to do that one day while Russell's away...make it a girl's trip. :-)
