Carrot Cake Conserve

A few weeks back, Michelle at  Michelle's Little Piece of Heaven posted a recipe for Carrot Cake Jam that sounded so good that I just had to make some myself! Thanks Michelle for a great recipe! :)

I added 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts, 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves and called it a conserve! I made conserve for the first time last year with plums from our plum tree and was hooked. A conserve, to me, is basically jam with nuts added in and I'm all for anything that includes some chopped nuts! Please visit Michelle's blog at the link above for the complete recipe! I cannot even begin to tell you how good this is and it really does taste like Carrot Cake!!

Anything that tastes like carrot cake has got to be good! I'm going to have to give this a try. What a lovely treat to stock the larder with. Thanks for sharing, Candy.

It is a great tasting jam. I made some last month and plan to make more but I'll have to try nuts. Thanks

Mooberry Farmwife,
I'm thinking what lovely Christmas gifts it would make too!

Kristina,
Homemade jam is ALWAYS really good but I was frankly amazed at how good this is! :)

Kathleen,
I really liked the addition of the nuts and I'm sure I'll be making some more too! :)
